Google Desktop allows business to find all their information, whether it's on the web or stored on their computer, from one convenient location. It offers you access to all of your important information, when you want it, right on your desktop. This allows business to manage their time more efficiently, whether at the office, at home, on vacation or on a business trip. Installing this application is free and can done in seconds by clicking the Google Install button.   During installation you can choose from these two features:

Desktop search
 Search your computer as easily as you search the web with Google
 Find and launch applications and files with just a few keystrokes
Sidebar with gadgets
 Add Google Gadgets to customize your desktop
 Get news, weather and more anywhere on your desktop

Once installed, Google Desktop features a variety of desktop gadgets, including calendar, g mail, you tube, twitter, slideshow for Facebook, Google reader and flowerpot.

  1. I never knew about the desktop search. This sounds like a great tool for those times when you save a file but can not remember for the life of you where you saved it at.
